Modern Physical Therapy for the active and busy mother
BE THE ACTIVE WOMAN YOU ARE MEANT TO BE
New Moon Physical Therapy and Wellness caters to women spanning their childbearing and childrearing years in Addison and Chittenden Counties, Vermont.
New Moon PT is here to play a personal, meaningful role in the village of support for mothers and moms-to-be. Women experience significant emotional and physical changes throughout pregnancy and motherhood, and too often healthcare providers and the community at large fail to offer adequate support for mothers. Pregnancy and motherhood should define some of the most celebrated days in a woman’s life! Childbearing should certainly not pose a major limitation to a woman’s ability to show up for her life as her most active, robust self.
New Moon offers a specialized and personal approach to restorative treatment and healing, enabling women to return to life’s pleasures and discover that the best days are yet to come.
Treatments at New Moon are patient-centric: you’ll never feel like you’re just a number in a clinic. A thorough evaluation will determine the root cause of your pain and dysfunction. We will then work with you to develop an individualized, mutually agreed upon plan of care. Dr. Davida adapts her skill set to meet your personal needs because holistic treatments are provided as members of your team. Your goals are our goals.

"When I was 5 months pregnant with my second child, I began experiencing tremendous pelvic pain. It built up to the point that I could hardly bear weight, and I left a holiday meal to go directly to Davida for treatment. My pain was crippling; I hobbled into her office gripping the door frame for stability. Davida provided excellent hands-on treatment and gave me exercises and tips to keep good postural alignment. This was especially helpful because the body produces hormones during the second trimester to help ligaments relax in order to accommodate birth, so I could easily have had the same problem again without the exercises she taught me. The instantaneous results made a huge impact: I was a young mother of a one-year-old, and being able to carry my toddler and play with him was incredibly important to me (and to him!). Davida’s empathic care and good results returned my quality of life and kept me out of that extreme pain!
